Terms of Use

The service

NonoNano ("NonoNano") is a daily nonogram (picture-logic) puzzle game: one new hand-curated puzzle each day, a puzzle archive, a practice mode, and tools to draw and share your own puzzles with friends. By using NonoNano, you agree to these terms.

Subscriptions

NonoNano's daily puzzle is always free to play, supported by ads. NonoNano Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (billed monthly or yearly, as shown at purchase) that removes ads, unlocks the full puzzle archive and practice puzzles beyond the free sample at each difficulty, and makes hints free.

Puzzles you create and share

The Create tool lets you draw your own puzzle and share a short text code with a friend, and the Import tool lets you paste a code someone sent you. You're responsible for what you draw and share. Don't use Create to encode anything unlawful, harassing, or infringing. NonoNano's developer does not review, host, or moderate these codes — see "Puzzles you create and share" under Privacy for how this actually works.

Acceptable use

Use NonoNano only for its intended purpose of playing, creating, and sharing nonogram puzzles. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app.

"As is," no warranty

NonoNano is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer's total liability arising from your use of NonoNano is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page will be updated with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.

Privacy Policy

The short version: NonoNano has no user accounts and no backend server of its own. Everything you'd think of as "your data" — puzzles solved, streaks, best times, settings, anything you draw — stays on your device. The one thing that isn't purely local: NonoNano shows ads through Google's Mobile Ads SDK, which can use an advertising identifier if you allow tracking. See "Advertising" below for exactly what that means and how to decline it.

Information we collect

None, on our own servers. NonoNano has no backend server of its own and uses no analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. The only third-party data collection in the app is the advertising SDK described next.

Advertising

NonoNano's free tier shows ads through Google's Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). On iOS, the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission before any tracking-based ad targeting, per Apple's requirement — you can allow or decline this in the system prompt, and NonoNano works exactly the same either way. If you decline, or on Android, ads are requested as non-personalized rather than tied to an advertising identifier. Google's use of any data collected through the SDK is governed by Google's own privacy policy and their disclosures for how it uses information from apps that use its services, not by NonoNano's developer. NonoNano Premium removes ads (and this SDK's activity) entirely.

Your data

Puzzles you create and share

When you draw a puzzle in Create, NonoNano encodes it into a short text code entirely on your device. Sharing it hands that code to whatever app you pick in your device's own share sheet (Messages, email, etc.) — NonoNano never uploads it to a server, and there is no in-app feed, gallery, or list of other players' puzzles. Only someone you specifically send the code to (or who otherwise receives it from you) can open it, by pasting it into Import.

In-app purchases

NonoNano Premium is processed entirely by Apple or Google through their standard in-app purchase systems. NonoNano's developer never receives your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) — that's handled directly between you and Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. NonoNano only learns whether a purchase succeeded, so it can unlock Premium features on your device.

Notifications

NonoNano can schedule a local daily reminder to play. These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device using its own operating system — NonoNano does not use any remote or push notification service, and no reminder content is sent anywhere.

Children's privacy

NonoNano does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app has no accounts, no chat, and no messaging between users; the only third-party data collection is the advertising SDK described above, which is limited by Apple's and Google's own platform rules for apps used by a general audience.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes this page will be updated with a new effective date, and that change will be described in the app's release notes.
